I love stone.

Damian Cudmore is a stone craftsman with a background in heritage restoration and a passion for elegant architecture, particularly with sandstone.

From first experience working with his uncle, a stonemason, while still at school, Damian went on to studies in architecture and building.

Now, the leader of a team of artisans, versed in traditional craft, Damian applies the traditions of the past to the architectural demands of the present.

"I love stone, particularly sandstone because it brings warmth and organic familiarity that echoes the natural geology, archeology and indigenous culture of Sydney.  It has been all around us for millions of years and was the building material of choice at first settlement.”
